2016 – 17

Day 1 To Lhasa
Take your flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Lhasa (BLD)
Tour the 13-story Potala Palace,winter home of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century. Later, visit 1,300-year-old Jokhang Temple and explore the maze-like Barkhor Market.

Day 3 Lhasa (BLD)
See Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama’s summer palace, and stroll through its parkland. This afternoon visit Sera Monastery, an active temple with monks in training.

Day 4 Lhasa – Gyantse (BLD)
Transfer to Gyantse, on the way visit Yamdrok Lake and the Palkhor Monastery – a mixture of Chinese, Tibetan and Nepali architecture.

Day 5 Gyantse – Shigatse (BLD)
Transfer to Shigatse, upon arrival visit the Tashi Lhumpo Monastery, once having over 4,000 monks in attendance.

Day 6 Shigatse – Lhasa (BLD)
Transfer back to Lhasa, day at leisure.

Day 7 Lhasa and onward journey (B)
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
