  1. Day 1

    UK - Beijing

    Depart the UK on a flight to Beijing.

  2. Day 2

    Beijing (D)

    Upon arrival met and transferred to the hotel for a 3 night stay.

  3. Day 3

    Beijing (BLD)

    In the morning we will visit the Temple of Heaven and stroll through Tiananmen Square, and then enter the incredible Forbidden City.

  4. Day 4

    Beijing (BLD)

    Visit the Great Wall at Mutianyu. In the evening there will be a sumptuous Peking Duck Dinner.

  5. Day 5

    Beijing - Xian (BLD)

    After breakfast we visit the Summer Palace, and also see some of the 2008 Olympic venues such as the Birds Nest and the Water Cube. In the afternoon we will go to the Hutong and learn about the daily life of ordinary Beijing citizens. Later in the evening catch a flight to Xian.

  6. Day 6

    Xian (BLD)

    Visit the Terracotta Warriors in the morning, after lunch visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and then visit the Muslim Quarter to the local market and to see local people’s lives. In the evening enjoy a Dumpling Dinner and the Tang Dynasty Show.

  7. Day 7

    Xian - Guilin (BLD)

    In the morning visit the Shaanxi Historical Museum, it includes over 400,000 artefacts on display including treasures from many dynasties. In late afternoon we will visit the Ancient City Wall where you can explore on foot or ride a bicycle. This evening transfer to the airport for a 2 hour flight southwards to Guilin. Upon arrival transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

  8. Day 8

    Guilin - Yangshuo (BLD)

    Enjoy a cruise along the Li River to Yangshuo today to enjoy the breathtaking landscape of limestone hills, tranquil fishing scenes and peaceful villages. This evening watch a Cormorant Fishing Show.

  9. Day 9

    Yangshuo (BLD)

    This morning you are free to explore Yangshuo. Some options you can arrange on your own could be: go shopping on West Street and bargain hard for souvenirs for friends and family back home. why not hire a bike to see the beautiful surroundings or enjoy some bamboo rafting on the Yulong River. In the afternoon we will take you on a walk along the Yulong River to visit the local families in the country side. In the evening why not enjoy the colourful and enjoyable 'Impressions of Yangshuo' show by Liu San Jie (optional - at own cost) .

  10. Day 10

    Guilin - Chengdu (BLD)

    Depart Yangshuo this morning and take the 90 minute drive to Guilin airport. On the way visit the Reed Flute Caves - a remarkable collection of colourfully illuminated stalactites and stalagmites. Visit Fubo Hill and Elephant Trunk Hill for panoramic views. Later this afternoon take a flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival we transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

  11. Day 11

    Chengdu (BLD)

    A full day excursion to the magnificent LeShan Buddha at 71m high it is one of the world’s tallest Buddha statues. Enjoy traditional Sichuan cuisine for dinner this evening.

  12. Day 12

    Chengdu - Hangzhou (BLD)

    This morning we shall visit the Panda Breeding Research Centre to see these beautiful animals in their home environment. Afterwards we take a flight to the tea plantations and picturesque West Lake found in Hangzhou. Upon arrival we transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

  13. Day 13

    Hangzhou - Shanghai (BLD)

    Visit a Tea Plantation and sample some traditional brews in a local Tea House. Enjoy the West Lake's numerous gardens, temples and pagoda's. Also visit the Buddhist Monastery of Ling Yin Temple. Explore the local markets around Qing He Fong Street. Onwards to Shanghai.

  14. Day 14

    Suzhou (BLD)

    An excursion to the ‘Venice of the East' renowned for its stone bridges, pagodas and attractive gardens, enjoy a cruise on the Grand Canal - the largest in China.

  15. Day 15

    Shanghai (BLD)

    Today's city tour includes Yu Yuan Gardens and the Jade Buddha Temple. After lunch visit the famous Shanghai Museum and The Bund. Enjoy the city view from the top of one of the world's tallest buildings - the Shanghai Financial Centre.

  16. Day 16

    Shanghai - UK (B)

    Fly back to the UK.
